| Abstract | This research analyzes the representation of myth in many cultures. It also has two questions, they are: 1. Representation of myth that related to history of four countries on Eat, Pray, Love movie, 2. Analysis of sign based on deformation process in Eat, Pray, Love movie. This research uses qualitative-descriptive method because this research contains images and texts. The data in this research is taken from screenshot in many scenes on movie. It also uses semiology theory (1967) and mythologies (1972) by Roland Barthes to analyze the data. From the analysis of data, this research indicated many discoveries on it. To represent the myth in the culture based on history, there are images , such as nine images with any movie script on it, they are Traditional Indonesia medicine, the gate of Bentar Temple, the Italian hand gesture, Fontana de Quatro Fiumi, Ashram, Yoga, Hinduism service in India, The Catholic church and Nun, and Christian’s prayer. From the second question about the process of deformation based on Mythologies theory. These explanation of the cultures describe each culture that related to the hidden meanings, like as yoga in India’s art describes the moves of yoga that aims to reach peace of soul and self-controlling, drama theater in US is as the representation of US societies, the human representation in Ketut’s painting describes the human’s self-controlling, and the four fountain of the rivers describes about the four God in Italia’s ancient history.
