Estado nutricional, consumo alimentar e prevenção de doenças crônicas não transmissíveis: um relato de experiência de uma feira de saúde

| Abstract | Resumo: Este artigo trata-se de um relato de experiencia de uma feira de saude em que graduandos de Nutricao avaliaram o estado nutricional e o consumo alimentar dos participantes e desenvolveram atividades de educacao alimentar e nutricional. A acao foi composta por tres etapas: avaliacao nutricional, analise do consumo alimentar e orientacao nutricional. Foram avaliados 110 individuos de ambos os sexos, com idade entre 15 e 70 anos. No conjunto total, a maioria estava eutrofica, porem, na faixa etaria adulta, quase a metade apresentava excesso de peso. No tocante a alimentacao, pode-se citar como aspectos positivos: 62% consumiam leguminosas regularmente, 75,6% ingeriam carne e ovos dentro das recomendacoes e retiravam a gordura; a substituicao de comidas por lanches nao era um habito de grande parte do publico; o oleo vegetal era o tipo de gordura mais utilizada; e 83% nao faziam uso do sal de adicao. No entanto, verificou-se a ingestao insuficiente de frutas (32%), legumes e verduras (68,1%) e agua (40,3%), bem como o consumo quase que diario de doces e embutidos (54,2%). Conclui-se que a populacao estudada apresenta alguns comportamentos alimentares que sao fatores de risco para o desenvolvimento de doencas cronicas, sendo necessarias acoes de avaliacao e educacao nutricional. Abstract: This is an experience report of a Health Fair in which undergraduate Nutrition students evaluated the nutritional state and dietary intake of the participants and developed food and nutrition educational activities. The operation was composed of three stages: nutritional evaluation, food consumption analysis and nutritional orientation. We evaluated 110 individuals of both sexes, aged between 15 and 70 years. In total set, most were eutrophic, but in the adult age group, nearly half were overweight. With regard to food, it can be cited as positive aspects: 62% consumed legumes regularly; 75.6% ate meat and eggs within the recommendations and withdrew the fat; the habits of replacing traditional food for snacks was not a habit of much of the public; the vegetal oil used was the most common type of fat and 83% did not use salt addition. However, there was insufficient intake of fruits (32%) and vegetables (68.1%) and water (40.3%) and almost daily consumption of sweets and embedded (54.2%). It is concluded that the studied population presents some eating behaviors that are risk factors for the development of Chronic Noncommunicable Diseases, actions assessment and nutrition education are required.
