| Abstract | The practices of careers management are usual at some organizations; however they can be generators or not organizational commitment. So, having as a starting point the bibliographic revision, this investigation seeks to analyze if the investment in practices career management makes, indeed, the employees more compromised with the organization in which they work. In this context, this paper is a result of an exploratory and descriptive research and has as a basis the application of an sample of 423 enquiries, which contains the Questionnaire of Careers Management from Ascensão (2009) as well as the Questionnaire of Organizational Commitment from Meyer & Allen (1990; 1991) adapted for Portugal by Bruno (2007) that were used for the development of the paper. After the application and interpretative analysis of their results was confirmed that the investment in practices of career management brings about the increase of the organizational commitment by the employees, where they end up taking upon a posture of commitment in face off their work and, consequently, their organization. Furthermore, there were made some future investigation suggestions with the intention of giving continuity to future studies regarding these two slopes. |
