| Abstract | SummaryComparing tests by means of three different methods were performed to determine the content of nitrogen and protein in feeds. All three procedures show very identical contents of protein. The advantages of the “LECO FP-228” determinator used, are, among others, that exact values are obtained rapidly and that practically no chemicals were used that contain detrimental environmental substances. The operation is very simple and allows not only automatic continuous sample loading, but furthermore discontinuous loading. The device requires for sample weights up to 1 g approx. 200 s for one analysis. Improvement for routine application have been achieved in our labs by only a few modifications on the standard instrument. |
