| Abstract | UPIITA-IPN IX ABSTRACT The cardboard boxes nowadays are used for the containment of a variety of products in different industries, the main function of the cardboard boxes is to facilitate the transportation of the product, this must being a user-friendly packaging due to the user sometimes needs to open and close the container constantly. There are several types of boxes of multiple sizes, shapes, types of cardboard (Caple and SBS) and finishes (plastic laminate, UV varnish) that some cases require either for presenting it, or for the product demand. This paper discusses the design and construction of a mechatronic system for fold and glue lineal cardboard boxes of different sizes, this system is part of a production line. It is noteworthy that this system is designed for batch production, is automatic, however, the user must intervene for some adjustments as: the dimensions of the box, as well as the required production capacity. It lists and describes briefly the method and the process carried out for completing the system of folding and gluing cardboard boxes and finally presents the conclusions and results. |
