| Abstract | The American Psychiatric Association examined the scientific studies and concluded that there is sufficient evidence to worry about video games becoming addictive for some people. They were not entirely sure from the studies whether it matters if the game is online or not, or whether people might also become addicted to other Internet activities (like Facebook), so they decided to call the problem “Internet Gaming Disorder” [1]. |
