| Abstract | This research aims was to empirical examine the correlation between parent attachment with the emotion regulation of adolescence in 5 High School, Surakarta. Participants were adolescence at first grade in 5 High School, Surakarta who still have both of parents/figure that surrogate their parents. Data collection devices are the scale of emotion regulation compiled by Garnefski and Kraaij (2007) and the scale of father attachment as well as mother attachment compiled by Armsden and Greenberg (2009). The result of analysis of the data indicates that there is no correlation between parent attachment and adolescence emotion regulation. Result of the data show that the correlation (r) between father attachment and emotion regulation is -0,068 (p>0,05) and correlation (r) between mother attachment and emotion regulation is 0,052(p>0,05).
