| Abstract | Industry companies frequently outsource datasets to minin g firms and academic institutions create repositories and sha re datasets in the interest of promoting research collaborati n. Still, many practitioners feel reserved about about sharin g or outsourcing datasets, primarily because of the fear of losi ng the principal rights over the dataset. This work presents a way of convincingly claiming ownership rights over a trajec tory dataset, without, at the same time, destroying the salient d ataset characteristics, which are important for accurate search o perations and data-mining tasks. The methodology that we presen t distorts imperceptibly a collection of sequences, effecti v ly embedding a secret key, while retaining as well as possible the neighborhood of each object, which is vital for operations s uch as similarity search, classification or clustering. |
