| Abstract | This article analyzes the factors that hinder the pedagogical management of the curriculum by the Heads of Technical Pedagogical Units ( jutp) in high schools located in contexts of social vulnerability in Araucania, Chile. To carry out the research, a descriptive qualitative design was proposed, based on grounded theory, the constant comparative method, and the use of a case study. The results reveal that the obstacles to the pedagogical management of the curriculum by the unit heads under study are the absence of leadership, of skills, and of evaluation practices in line with the purpose of the educational process. Another observation is that the role of these individuals is centered on administrative aspects dealing with control. |
