| Abstract | Standardisation constraints (SOX, ISO) which are imposed upon companies are numerous and take different forms. Organizations must find tools which allow the integration of these con-straints into their strategy. This study aims to show that process documentation can be a standardisation integration tool. We propose to focus on the real case of an IT industrial en-terprise which has developed a process documentation to face standardisation issues. Process documentation then seems to be a promising theoretical way to deal with transverse manage-rial problems such as standardisation. From a practical view, audits have been greatly im-proved in terms of speed and quality of information produced, but also in terms of continuous improvement practices. The major originality of this research is to show that process docu-mentation can deal with the problems of standardization, but it is also a tool for process man-agement. |
