| Abstract | Abstract In vitro autoradiography was employed to localize and quantify Na-dependent [ 3 H] d -aspartate binding sites in rat brain. LKB autoradiograms revealed a 15-fold variation in the concentration of [ 3 H] d -aspartate binding sites among 40 brain regions. These results indicate that high-affinity uptakes sites for aspartic and/or glutamic acid are present ubiquitously, though not uniformlly, throughout the rat brain. |
