| Abstract | The present research analyzes the nutritional value of pastures composed by pasture honey (Paspalum dilatatum) and Brachiaria spp., according to their age of growth in the Canton San Miguel de los Bancos - Pichincha - Ecuador. The variables studied were: the production of biomass in Kg MS/ha/cut, the bromatological analyzes expressed as nutritive value of the pasture; and, the best answer found as a result of the research, compared to the producer's management. The field approach was a randomized block design with five treatments of 30, 40, 50, 60.70 days of growth and three replicates. The T2 (40 days of growth) presented the best answer in the nutritional value variable since in the averages of the laboratory analyzes were reported 11.42% ash, 8.62% protein 2.15% extract Ethereal, 38.29% fiber, 41.99% nitrogen free extract and 2.25 Mcal MS/Kg. T1 presented a lower value and the other treatments suffered a decrease of up to 2.15 Mcal EM/Kg. For the variable dry matter production, at 70 days of growth it reaches 3435.02 Kg MS/ha/cut, the lowest average is reported at 30 days of growth 1349.82 Kg MS/ha/cut and shares the range With treatments 2, 3 and 4. As a contribution to the farmers of Canton San Miguel de los Bancos, it is concluded that the best use in grazing or cutting of the forage mixture is at 40 days of growth or regrowth of the plant with a residue of 15 cm where it has 2000 kg of dry matter. |
