| Abstract | The forest fire in Bonastre mountains (an area that has been several times affected by fires) on 06/01/2016, has been studied in order to obtain a Severity index. It is in the municipality of Albinyana, in the Baix Penedes region in Catalonia. The study is considered a starting point for the assessment and monitoring of the dynamics of regeneration of the burned surface. The dNBR index (Delta Normalized Burn Ratio) is obtained from SENTINEL-2 images, and the results are compared with CBI index (Composite Burned Index) obtained from ground survey. This study is a result of the final work of “Master en Tecnologies de la Informacio Geografica, 18a edicio”, by the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB) codirected by Institut Cartografic i Geologic de Catalunya. |
