| Abstract | Existing literature seems to disagree on exactly what role employee commitment plays in the market orientationperformance relationship. This paper hypothesises that employee commitment is an antecedent to market orientation; it moderates the strength of the relationship between top management emphasis on market orientation, and mediates the relationship between a market based reward system and market orientation. Hypotheses were tested with data from a national survey. |
