| Abstract | RESUME La phocomelie distale bilaterale des membres inferieurs est une malformation rare. Elle est caracterisee par une hypoplasie majeure des os de la jambe isolee ou associee a d’autres malformations. Nous presentons le cas d’une fille K S de 7ans, nee a terme d’un couple non consanguin. Sa mere âgee de 38 ans, 9 eme geste de meme pere, a signale un antecedent d’avortement spontane au cours de la precedente grossesse. On ne note pas de notion de malformation familiale ou de prise de substance toxique. Trois echographies obstetricales toutes normales ont ete effectuees au cours de la grossesse de laquelle est issue K S. L’enfant K S a un developpement psychomoteur normal. Le diagnostic de phocomelie distale a ete etabli cliniquement et confirme par la radiographie standard en post-natal. ABSTRACT Bilateral distal phocomelia of the lower extremities is a rare malformation. It is characterized by a major hypoplasia of the bones of the isolated or associated with other malformations. We present the case of a girl K S, 7 years old, born in term of a non-consanguineous couple. Her mother, was a 38 years old, 9 th pregnancy, with a spontaneous abortion history. All these children had the same father. There is no history of family malformations or toxic substance intake. Three antenatal ultrasonographies were realized during the pregnancy from which K S was derived. They didn’t show any abnormality, and K S had a normal psychomotor development. The diagnosis of phocomelia was established clinically and confirmed by standard radiography in post-natal. |
