| Abstract | A Danca de Sao Goncalo, muito presente na zona rural do municipio de Campo Maior-PI, apresenta-se como um ritual de pagamento de promessa realizado na forma de danca e cantos. O objetivo desse trabalho e analisar os pontos em que sagrado e profano se apresentam nesse ritual religioso verificando como dialogam entre si. Utilizei como principais teoricos Durkheim (1996), Eliade (2010) e Gennep (2013). A metodologia adotada engloba a etnografia com a observacao dos rituais de Sao Goncalo, a coleta e uso de fotografias e a analise dos versos das cantigas do ritual. The Sacred and the Profane in the Dance of Sao Goncalo: Ethnography of a Ritual of Payment of Promise The Dance of Sao Goncalo, very present in the rural area of the municipality of Campo Maior-PI, presents itself as a ritual of payment of promise realized in the form of dance and songs. The objective of this work is to analyze the points in which sacred and profane present themselves in this religious ritual, verifying how they dialogue among themselves. I used as main theorists Durkheim (1996), Gennep (2013) and Eliade (2010). The methodology adopted includes ethnography with the observation of the rituals of Sao Goncalo, the Oral History, the collection and use of photographs and the analysis of the verses of the ritual songs. |
