| Abstract | In this paper we briefly review the derivation of twoand threedimensional absorbing boundary conditions (ABC's) for mesh truncation in PDE solution of electromagnetic scattering problems, compare the approximate 2-D ABC with its exact counterpart and suggest ways by which the ABCs can be improved.
