Summary In this work it was our purpose to evaluate the citrate dextrose phosphate (CDP) as anticoagulant for the hematic biometry, the prothrombin time and the partial thromboplastin time in oncology patients with the objective to use only one blood sample of 2 mL. In the comparison of the evaluated anti- coagulant with the reference anticoagulants were obtained correlation coefficients upper to 0.90. These results allowing the utilization of CDP in these laboratory tests and the use of only one sample with less volume. This represent one benefit for the oncology patients over all for the children if take in consideration that in these patients is difficult to draw the blood and to obtain the volume required. |
