Sharing and Utilization of Search Activity Information By Group-Based Web Browsing

Abstract	Web users perform Web information exploration by using a search engine or using link navigation. However, information retrieval by only one user can be ineffective. Then, a user cooperates with several people in order to perform information exploration efficiently. However, former collaborative information exploration seems to be based on informing and sharing Web bookmarks as search result by chatting or e-mail. It is difficult that users perform efficient information exploration in such former collaboration. On the other hand, I believe that sharing search activity information on Web navigation is very important to perform efficient information exploration. The search activity information corresponds to user’s behavior to search Web information and consists of browsing Web pages, entering keywords into a search engine and bookmarking. Therefore, I believe that it can be realized to search Web page efficiently by sharing and utilization of these search activity information in group members. Then, in my research, I propose the communication system which can share Web search activity information among several users.
