Abstract	Here we report on the biocompatibility testing of a silicone rubber metallized with platinum according to a new method. Both in vitro (Neutral Red Uptake) and in vivo (Subcutaneous Implantation) assays were used to demonstrate the cellular and systemic tolerance of the assessed material.
