| Abstract | Ultra-intense laser pulse interaction with solid targets changes drastically in the presence of low density plasma corona created by prepulses of different nature. Laser pulses propagating in low density medium can accelerate electrons to energies higher than ponderomotive potential. There exist some experimental investigations where it was shown that preplasma influences proton acceleration [1], Kα [2] and bremsstrahlung [3] generation. |
