| Abstract | The problem of child workers is a recurring situation in a large percentage of countries, especially those that are developing countries. A determining factor being for developing countries is the low grade of schooling for minors involved in this problem and Colombia is no exception although the recent governments have promoted campaigns and taken steps to minimize the problem much is still what you need to move in that direction. This paper discusses the situation of child workers, not only in the light of social reality, but from the standpoint of some rules that were devised and put into effect, precisely in order to neutralize a problem whose effects are extremely harmful, since it not only limits the child access to schooling but in many cases, it must assume the inherent risks of the work performed, some of which are extremely dangerous, not only for the physical integrity but to the moral and spiritual formation of the child, when it is used in work not suitable for his young age, such as mining, begging, the handling of toxic substances, the micro-trafficking, among others. |
