| Abstract | This paper focuses on the use of knowledge management processes by executive secretariat professionals in a specific work environment, in this case the Universidade Federal do Para (UFPA). For achieving the main goal, we built a theoretical framework linking Knowledge Management and Executive Assistance, the latter being directly related to the occupation of the Executive Secretariat. The research is of an applied nature and the technical procedures used were bibliographic, documental and survey research. To the stage of data collection, a questionnaire with closed questions was prepared and sended to a targeting audience, formed by actives executive secretaries at UFPA. Responses were treated by means of content analysis seeking to understand the current context and infer new knowledge about the topic in question. The results indicate that professionals working in the executive secretariat position in the UFPA known and frequently applied processes of Knowledge Management in their professional context and apply specific knowledge of the Executive Assistance, contributing to consolidation of KM in secretarial field and in public organizational management. |
