Abstract	The main goal of the actual study was evaluate the physiochemical and microbiological conditions of the meandrica lagoon basin adjoining to the mangrove area and the localities of El Carrizal and Playa Azul, Guerrero, Mexico. Physical-chemical tests showed optimal environmental conditions of the productivity oligohalina supporting that way the development of aquatic life. The microbiological analysis established the existence of pollution by coliforms, not fit for consumption and human use, exceeding the permissible limits established by Mexican law. The analysis showed oscillations due to the input of rainwater crawls, exchange with estuarine systems and anthropogenic activities that affect water quality; reasons why are required conservation actions upon this hydrological resource to prevent deterioration. Keyword— wetlands, physical-chemical parameters, coliforms, mangrove Resumen— El objetivo del presente estudio fue evaluar las condiciones físico-químicas-microbiológicas del canal meándrico lagunar colindante a la zona de manglar y a las localidades de El Carrizal y Playa Azul, Guerrero, México. Las pruebas físico-químicas presentaron óptimas condiciones ambientales de productividad oligohalina, favoreciendo al desarrollo de la vida acuática. El análisis microbiológico estableció existencia de contaminación por coliformes, determinando no ser apta para el consumo y uso humano, excediendo los límites permisibles establecidos por la legislación mexicana. El análisis mostró variaciones debido al aporte por arrastres de aguas pluviales, intercambio con sistemas estuarinos y actividades antropogénicas que afectan la calidad del agua; por lo que se requieren acciones de conservación sobre este recurso hidrológico para evitar su deterioro.
