Abstract	The following article supports the military retirement protocol and policies which are different from the general civilian retirement policies. These exception and special considerations are based upon the fact that the military duties endanger the lives of the individual military person inherit of the job; for this reason, article 279, of Law 100, signed 1993, establishes the special exception and protocol allowing for the Social Security (pension plan) that is in effect for the military and the Colombian National Police.
