| Abstract | Social Media prevail in the universe of the journalistic information each day. Yet, Social Media are not exclusively used to distribute the information, but to certainly create it. This research is aiming to comprehend how the Social Media operates as a journalistic source within the television information. In this paper, the main appliance of the New Media is analyzed, in order to enhance from an informational point of view, the generated cores by other Media. In the same degree, the activity of the politic actors throughout their Twitter profiles is supervised, and it is illustrated how toward the Social Media they occupy a position as opinion generators and provide meaning to the facts. Furthermore, in this research two methodologies are combined to accomplish the study of this phenomenon. An analysis of assessable content within the newcast of Televisión Española, among different metrical analyses of Twitter profiles. |
