| Abstract | High level of security in the port area is very important to prevent criminal offence. To prevent this criminal offence from occuring the usage of security pass have been enforced by Penang Port Sdn Bhd. Consistent with that enforcement, a stand alone system had been developed. Security Pass Management System (SPPKPPSB) is being used to produce and track the issuance of security pass. Though the existing system has certain weakness. Problem arising from the existing system has inspired the development of a new system that its features will be upgraded. Barcode usage has been integrated in system that will ease the pass verificationa nd staff attendance recording process.System have been developed base on client server architecture that provides accessibility at all port area. Methodology of prototype have been used to develop these system. Hopefully the system will reduce criminal offence in port area, provide port user with the best port service and make it possible for brilliant human resource management. |
