| Abstract | Deposits and mineral occurrences relationed with Calipuy volcanism are hosted in volcanic sequences erupted from indistinct Eocene to Miocene eruptive centers. These deposits show high and low sulfidation epithermal mineralization and porphyry. For example: Machacala, Salpo, Urumalqui, Alto Dorado and Tres Cruces. The main structural features are faults and folds with NW-SE and E-W trendings. Some of them are crossed by a minor fault system NE-SW and N-S trending. Indeed around the intersection between both structural systems are hosted mineral deposits. Despite, it necessary adds lithostratigraphy and mineralogical control, both allow mineralization. So that, previous factors mentioned in addition mineralogical characterization of each deposit, established following kinds of mineral deposits: Volcanic and Sedimentary Epithermals, Porphyries and Porphyry-Epithermal. Therefore outcropping three metalogenetical belts: Auriferous Volcanic, Auriferous Sedimentary, Porphyry Cu-Mo enriched Au-Ag. According to mineralization ages located in the zone, included from 20 Ma (Michiquillay) to 10 Ma (Yanacocha) a Miocene belt is established. |
