| Abstract | The objective of the study was to determine the effectiveness in the learning of the students of the Academic School of Law, of the methodological strategies used in teaching the subject of criminal law. This research, classified as an applied type, was developed under a multivalent experimental design, which increased the possibilities of being able to determine exactly if the strategies used were effective, for which the analysis of variance (Anova) was used to specify whether the relationship was linear or curvilinear and determine the differences in learning between the groups. For the study, an intentional sample of 117 students was used distributed in three classrooms in which the subject of Criminal Law II was developed in 2017. The experimental method was used from a quantitative approach. Information on the learning achieved was collected directly from the official evaluation records. The results showed a learning average of 13.6 after applying the cooperative learning strategy; of 13.8 after applying the strategy of the expositions and of 14 after applying the strategy of construction of graphic organizers. The Anova test showed a p value of 0.000 in the multivariate test for the Fisher test, which establishes significance in the mean differences and given the 0.299 result of the ETA test, it is concluded that in 32.9% it was due to the applied treatment. It was concluded that the learning in the students was increased with the application of the methodological strategies, consequently, the research hypothesis is accepted as valid. |
