Abstract	espanolEste trabajo ofrece nuevos datos sobre la variacion dialectal del ser focalizador a traves del estudio de dos telenovelas colombianas, cuya accion se ubica en los departamentos de Antioquia y del Valle del Cauca. El analisiscomparativo de estas dos zonas dialectales pone de relieve la vitalidad de esta construccion que esta extendiendose por areas del dominio variacional del espanol en las que no se habia registrado hasta ahora. Asimismo, y desde un punto de vista formal, este estudio muestra la flexibilidad sintacticade la estructura, en la cual es frecuente encontrar interpolaciones, elementos enfatizadores como pero e incluso dobles focalizaciones. EnglishThis paper offers new data on the dialectal variation of focalizing ser (‘to be’) constructions, through the study of two Colombian soap operas, whose action is located in the departments of Antioquia and Cauca’s valley. The comparative analysis of these two dialectal zones highlights the vitality of this construction, which is spreading through areas in which it has not been recorded until now. Also, from a formal perspective, this study shows the syntactic flexibility of the structure, in which we frequently find interpolations, other elements that emphasize such as pero and even double focalizations.
