| Abstract | This paper mainly focused on the study of hybrid reinforcement ie, SiCp with Fly Ash (FA) and Al2O3 with Fly Ash (FA) influences on Mechanical characteristics of Aluminium based Hybrid Metal Matrix Composites (AHMMCs) Synthesised by Stir Casting Process. The AHMMCs is synthesised by amalgamated the fly ash particles with a particle size of 53-106 μm and synthetic ceramic particles with a size of 53 μm into the vortex of matrix material with a proportion of 3 wt.%, 6 wt.% and 9 wt.%. The mechanical and physical properties of AHMMCs are investigated and the results reveal that the increase of hybrid reinforcement content shows the increasing trend of Hardness, Tensile Strength and Porosity while the density decreases. Furthermore, the hybrid reinforcement particle distribution was examined using SEM analysis and the results revealed that the particles are fairly distributed. |
