| Abstract | In 1997 with the enactment of the Land Management law (LOOT 388- LAW) Its established the requirements to formulate Land Management Plans (POT) in a municipal level, which are constitute together with the Municipal Development Plans (PDM) as a planning instruments for the local and national level government. POT are review in order to comply with the LOOT 28 article, identify adjustment needs, update and modify the contents of the Plan, so that land management models can be continuously improved. Madrid Cundinamarca adopted a Basic Plan for Land Managment in 2000, which has been subject to revisions follow by some adjustments. The last tracking was done in 2012, which coincided with the Municipal Development Plan approval named “Transformation Underway". Taking in account the presence of the Subachoque River in the urban and rural area of the municipality, and the currently environmental problems that are taking place, both PBOT and PDM formulated and management guidelines will be reviewed in order to identify and measure if action lines of these two plans are articulated for this river management and also to evidence if this water source has been taken in the account as one of the principal axis for land and environment planning and therefore as an main ecological structure component not only at local but as regional level. |
