Abstract	Due to the little knowledge and lack of information regarding the professional and working environment of the translator, the academic education, the certification processes and their importance of these in Colombia. It is usual that the applicant translator does not know the impact that these issues could have at the moment of professional development. This project focuses on the clarification of these questions in order to provide objective and basic information to allow the candidate to choose the best profile and path based on the information presented.
