Abstract	espanolSe ha estudiado el efecto de dosis crecientes de fertilizacion nitrogenada (0, 25, 50, 75 y 100 Kg. /Ha./corte) sobre los rendimientos del ray-grass Westerwold en cultivo puro y en cultivo asociado con diferentes proporciones de veza (0, 80, 120 y 160 Kg. semilla/Ha.) Los rendimientos totales y los rendimientos por corte aumentaron con la dosis de nitrogeno aplicada. No existieron diferencias significativas entre los rendimientos del cultivo puro y del cultivo asociado. La relacion ray-grass/veza en el cultivo asociado dio valores excesivamente elevados, indicando que el establecimiento de la veza fue deficiente. EnglishFive nitrogenous fertilizer rates (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 Kg. N/Ha./cutting) were applied to ray-grass Westerwold sown in pure stand or in mixtures with vetch. D.M. yields increased with nitrogen level. There were no significant differences (P ^> 0.05) in yields among ray-grass grown alone and raygrass/vetch mixtures. The contribution of vetch to forage production was very low in all cuttings and it revealed a poor establishment of vetch. It is concluded that this species is not a good companion crop for ray-grass Westerwold.
