| Abstract | The aim of this work was to observe the effects of cultivation density on performance of juvenile Betta fish a 35 day period in Betta (Betta splendens). Were used 345 45-day-old Betta splendens juveniles were produced in the CPCE-UFPI fish farming sector. The juvenile fish were introduced into a translucent blue conical tank with a capacity of 20 liters of water and a useful volume of 18L. Weighing was performed during the experiment and the parameters of productive performance were determined. The design was a completely randomized design with 4 treatments represented by storage densities (fish per liter of water) and 5 replicates per treatment. The results were submitted to analysis of variance (ANOVA) at the level of 5.0% of probability, and the means were compared by the Tukey test, through the program BIOESTAD 5.0. The culture density of Betta splendens juveniles of 6 fish per 18L was the one that obtained the best performance indexes, so it can be concluded that for the cultivation of juvenile Betta splendens fish can be used density of 6 fish per liter18L of water in the culture tanks under the conditions tested. O Betta splendens, a partir da fase juvenil, pode ser facilmente ser alimentado através de dietas formuladas (Wolfsheimer, 2003).
