Abstract	Nuestro planeta Tierra afronta la crisis global y como parte de esta, se incluye la del medio ambiente, la cual tiene una causa comun, el actuar inconsciente del ser humano y un efecto convergente, el exterminio del mundo y con este el de la propia especie humana. Actualmente, en el Instituto Politecnico “Oscar Alberto Ortega Lora”, persisten insuficiencias en cuanto al nivel de conocimientos medioambientales adquiridos por los tecnicos medios de Construccion, asi como en el desarrollo de actitudes medioambientales favorables; observandose una contradiccion, en la practica social, entre lo que aspira el modelo de la Educacion Tecnica y Profesional (ETP) –egresar tecnicos medios de la familia de Construccion con actitudes medioambientales favorables- y lo real –tecnicos medios con actitudes medioambientales desfavorables. Es por esto que en el presente trabajo se argumenta que las actitudes medioambientales, en estudiantes de la ETP, constituyen un problema social de la ciencia y la tecnologia; obteniendo como resultado que la aplicacion de los fundamentos epistemologicos expuestos, arrojaron cambios positivos en las actitudes medioambientales, en cuanto a lo cognitivo, afectivo y participativo hacia situaciones medioambientales, en estudiantes de tecnico medio de Construccion. A SOCIAL PROBLEM OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ABSTRACT Our Earth Planet confronts the global crisis including the environmental area and its common cause, the unconscious acting of the human being and the convergent effect to the extermination of the world and the human sort. At present environmental insufficiencies are persisted related to the environmental knowledge of the Construction technician in Oscar Alberto Ortega Lara Polytechnic Institute as well as in the development of a favourable environmental attitudes establishing a contradiction in the social practice between a model wanted in the Technical and Professional Education (TPE) - to graduate technicians of the Construction Family with good environmental behaviour. That’s why in this paper it is argued that the environmental attitudes of the TPE students constitute a social problem of the Science and the Technology, getting as a result that the application of the epistemology bases given, emits positive changes in their cognitive, affective and participative attitudes to the environmental situations.
