| Abstract | The objective of this work is to perform a bibliographic study about the state of the art of anaerobic digestion of organic solid waste, beginning with its definition and a general classification. Next, the need to treat these waste is justified, as well as their possibility of converting them into a resource through the anaerobic digestion process. This process supposed an environmental and technologically attractive opportunity derived from the use of biogas as renewable energy. The methodology addressed in this study is based on the search and organization of information, as well as in the bibliographic selection criteria that adjusts of explicitly form to the subject treated. On the other hand, the anaerobic digestion process has been analyzed explaining its phases, the main bacteria involved, the parameters that affect and the technologies that can be carried out in this process with the associated energetic consumption. Finally, a comparative analysis of the pre-treatment methods is effected, between which the mechanical, thermal, chemical and thermochemical and biological pre-treatments stand out, that allow to improve the anaerobic digestion process and obtain a higher energetic yield. |
