| Abstract | O estudo visou investigar aspectos da formacao e atuacao de professores que trabalham com alunos com necessidades educativas especiais em salas de recursos multifuncionais de uma cidade do interior paulista. Os objetivos especificos abrangeram: investigar as percepcoes dos professores em relacao as possibilidades e aos desafios do trabalho na SRM; e conhecer suas visoes acerca da formacao continuada existente no municipio, oferecida pela Secretaria Municipal da Educacao. Foram entrevistadas quatro professoras que atuavam em salas de recursos multifuncionais. Os resultados apontam para a importância da formacao continuada, segundo o relato das professoras entrevistadas, e as contribuicoes e limites desta proposta em relacao as suas praticas docentes na sala de recurso multifuncional. Conclui-se que, apesar das fragilidades indicadas no programa de formacao continuada, as participantes reconhecem que a proposta pode contribuir para o trabalho no cotidiano das SRMs. Palavras-Chave : Educacao Especial. TRAINING AND PERFORMANCE OF TEACHERS IN CLASSROOMS WITH MULTIFUNCTIONAL RESOURCES Abstract : This study aimed to investigate aspects in the training and performance of teachers who work with students with special educational needs in classrooms with multifunctional resources in a city in the state of Sao Paulo. The specific goals included: investigate teachers’ perceptions regarding the possibilities and challenges of working at SRM; and understanding their views about the existing continued training in the city, offered by the Municipal Department of Education. We interviewed four teachers who work in classrooms with multifunctional resources. The results indicate the importance of continued training, according to the report of the interviewed teachers, and the contributions and limitations of this proposal regarding their teaching practices in classrooms with multifunctional resources. We have concluded that despite the weaknesses indicated in the continued training program, the participants recognize that the proposal might contribute to their everyday work in the SRMs. Keywords : Special education.
