| Abstract | A collection of 221 journals of Psychology, included in the Latindex Directory, is analyzed (scientific journals published in Latin American countries, as well as in Spain and Portugal). In this study the Spanish journals are not including (118 titles). The year, geographic origin, languages, regularity, thematic, edition format and data bases that indexing them are analyzed. Those that have format in full text in line are analyzed separately, including in this case the Spanish ones; a brief description of each journal and its URL direction is presented. The results show that Brazil publishes 62%, followed by Argentina, (16%) and Mexico (8%). The language more use is the Portuguese, (62%), and the Spanish, (28%), the rest are multilingual. 43% has semester regularity, followed by 21% that has annual regularity. The data base that collects more journals is CLASE, 30 titles, in second place LILACS that collects 22 and in third PsycLIT (Psychological Abstract) that collects only 11 titles. 96,74% is published in paper, 2,33% in line plus paper and 0,93% in line. In the case of the Spanish journals, 88,98% is published in paper, 6,77% in both, line plus paper and the 4,23% only in line. |
