| Abstract | In the La Libertad canton, constructive activities are being carried out, for which it is important to carry out the evaluation of the environmental management plan, in a detailed manner, to establish the actions that will be implemented to prevent, mitigate, rehabilitate or compensate the negative impacts caused by the development of a project; therefore, the objective of the present title issue is to prepare the evaluation of the environmental management plan and propose an improvement plan for the new central market of La Libertad, La Libertad canton, province of Santa Elena, in order that this analysis serve so that the consultant and builder can know if the variables used in the environmental impact study of the project should be adjusted or changed for future projects, and allow not to make the same mistakes, improve work performance, reduce costs and make the study of environmental impact a true source of feedback. In the methodology used, the evaluation is carried out during the construction stage of the project, this is to compare the environmental impact study with the improvement plan of the mentioned study; it is determined that the greater positive impact is linked to the operation of the market, highlighting the visual effect of the environment, citizen satisfaction, the increase in sales motivated by the greater presence of people, which will compensate directly and positively.
