| Abstract | The proper disposal of solid waste is a problem of global nature. It is known that a good destination for these wastes is incineration under controlled temperature, in conjunction with a sophisticated gas cleaning. After this treatment, it is possible the energy recovery of waste. This paper aims to study the effectiveness of arrangements to electricity generation by combining generation by burning waste and generation by burning natural gas. Two configurations have been proposed and simulated in thermodynamic modeling program Cycle-time, resulting in efficiencies of 56.7 and 54.2% which indicates the technical feasibility for this type of project. |
