| Abstract | The floristic composition of vascular epiphytes was studied on 110 specimens of Pseudobombax aff. campestre, in complexes rupestrian on granite in southern Espírito Santo, situated between 250 and 1,100 m, with influences of seasonal semideciduous forest and Dense Ombrophilous Forest. This study aims to characterize the vascular epiphytic flora associated with P. aff. campestre, categorize species according to the relationship established between phorophytes and evaluate the floristic similarity with other areas of southern and southeastern Brazil. Excursions to collect botanical material were made between the years 2010 to 2012, and recorded 151 species, 77 genera and 21 families, which is the highest ever recorded for Brazilian rock environments. The family Orchidaceae and genus Epidendrum, had the highest wealth. Eleven species had their first record for the Espírito Santo State, fourteen framed as endangered at the state level and two at the federal level. However, both species are exotic to the flora. The most diversified ecological category was characteristic holoepiphytes with 97 species, followed by accidental holoepiphytes, with 35 species. Analysis of similarity showed the formation of distinct floras studied areas and other surveys of the southern and southeastern Brazil. The high richness of vascular epiphytes found on Pseudobombax aff. campestre denotes the importance of this phorophyte nucleadora of biodiversity in ecosystems rock, this being the main vegetation phorophyte this training already studied in Brazil. |
