| Abstract | In march 2007, segments of plagiotropics branches were collected in three ratio leaf-to-fruit (LFR) of coffee trees grown in rows oriented north-south in the positions Lower East, Upper East, Upper West and Lower West of the plant canopy. In 2008, those segments were collected only in one LFR. We determined the soluble sugars, starch and amino acids concentration in segments collected in those two years. In 2007, it was not possible to correlate the carbohydrates and amino acids concentrations in different RAF's, which may due to the loss of autonomy of the branches. This phenomenon promotes greater movement of sucrose among the branches of different LFR's. In 2008, the LFR did not alter the high concentration of the product, which may be due to low fruit load during this period. |
