| Abstract | This report reflects the relationship specifically within the pharmaceutical sector FTA with the United States, taking into account the negotiations between Colombia and the United States, according to increase or improve trade of both countries. All this is given by current economic trends, where interdependence called globalization emerges as a phenomenon in which, as the competitiveness aspects are becoming more important, is how, by the desire to be kept on the market, making boom a number of processes such as strategic alliances, mergers, acquisitions, among others, at the macro level which took effect are increasingly multilateral and bilateral economic cooperation, the T.L.C is one of them. This sense, we present the pharmaceutical industry as an indicator of the global economy, a component of the market in terms of the marketing of brand and generic drugs, the current regulations for this sector, intellectual property agreements and the conclusions we can obtained after performing this study. One concern in this environment is that much of the national companies do not conduct research for the development of new pharmaceutical products, because many of them above the royalties paid for the use of such patents. |
