Abstract	Se hizo una intervencion educativa que incluyo a 142 mujeres pertenecientes al consultorio medico Cruce Centro, del area de salud de Cruce los Banos en el municipio de III Frente de la provincia de Santiago de Cuba desde junio de 2008 hasta igual mes de 2009, con vista a modificar y ampliar sus nociones sobre el Programa de Deteccion Precoz del Cancer Cervicouterino y las principales caracteristicas de la afeccion. Entre las variables estudiadas figuraron: edad, escolaridad, ocupacion y conocimientos sobre la enfermedad, por citar algunas.
