| Abstract | The experiment was realized with the purpose to create an adequate fertilizing proposal form the farm of Don Rogelio Solano through an absorption nourishment esteem and a growth analysis of a cassava (Manihot esculenta) production cycle. In the locality of El Tanque, La Fortuna, San Carlos, Alajuela. Tour simples were taken, each one every month. Each sample was for the total of one plant. The height, number of leafs and the canopy area were the measurements taken from each plant. The plants were sectioned on each of their structure, meaning: absorbing root, productive root, seed, stem, petiol, leaf and flower. The fresh weight was measured and after they were dried in a oven at 60°C for 48 hours the weight was measured again. These data were used to calculate the accumulative biomass and a series of morphology and physiogyc index. The total nourishments contained in each dried structure were used to calculate the accumulative nourishments of each sample. The results showed that the cassava absorbs significants amounts of the next elements in decreasing order N, K, Ca, S, P and Mg, on quantities of 899, 244, 140, 47.45 and 34 Kg/ha, each. For the minor elements in decreasing order, Fe, B, Zn, Mn and Cu, the absorbing amounts were: 13, 1, 0.8, 0.7 and 0.1 Kg/ha. The analysis of the accumulative biomass altogether the morphology and physiology index showed four phases that are coincident on critical moments of the absorbing accumulative nourishments of the crop development. It was determined that because of the plant reproductive method there is a phase of adaptation for the seed, from this phase the seed presents a biomass volume increasing from 50 gr to 2300 gr in a period of 5 months, reaching the 60 % of the plant total weight, showing a high efficiency of the plant as it can be demonstrated by the relationship between the commercial weigth altogether the canopy area index because this one decreases on the sixth month, and even that the plant continues producing biomass, having the maximum net assimilation on the eight month. |
