| Abstract | Australia seems to have been drying over the last decade. Rainfall in much of South Eastern Australia is very low, and large areas are now at the lowest on record. Adelaide and its hills catchments are also very much below average rainfall. The Murray R is at unprecedented low flows. The average long term inflow has been about 11,000 GL, but this was last seen in 2000-1 and now we have had 6 years well below this. |
