| Abstract | Sexuality is a constitutive part of the human being, however, until today ignorance and restriction still are the result of the silence crosses this topic. Precisely, this restriction becomes evident when we real ice a society that not only dictates the correct order of life, but also one that prescribes sexuality, installing ways of experiencing the body, gender, and sexual practices. In this way, those practices that are conceived as natural are the product of an artificial contract that designates, depending on the gender, a series of erogenous forms and zones that allow the attainment of pleasure, recognizing these as an exclusive way to relate sexually. For this reason, it has been considered fundamental to establish gender and sexuality as research variables, and specifically gender stereotypes and sexual practices, considering that in today's Ecuadorian society a patriarchal culture still prevails, and the voice of gender stereotypes continues to be prevalent. In this way, the objective of this research is to analyze the influence of gender stereotypes on sexual practices in university students from 18 to 25 years old. This objective will be achieved through a qualitative methodology and will use as tools: in-depth interviews and focus groups. The information provided will be processed through the analysis of qualitative content, to determine the pragmatic content of the communication of the participants. |
