| Abstract | Fractionation of phosphorus in rice soils Irrigation System Guarico River reservoirs could get your P of immediate, medium and low availability to plants. Currently the diagnosis of phosphorus requirement for rice cultivation in these soils is calibrated using extracting solutions, but did not know the contribution of soil phosphorus forms phosphorous available. This study evaluated the distribution of phosphorus fractions in 43 soils River Irrigation System Guarico rice cultivated and fertilized with phosphates for periods of 5, 10, 30, 40 and 50 and these fractions were related of P with Cd content, Ca and Zn in the soil, with the P in the plant and in time of fertilization, also determined the Cd content in soils and was related to the plant Cd, Ca, Zn at the time of fertilization and soil. Soil samples were collected at a depth of 0-20 cm, were air dried and sieved with a mesh size of 2 mm. The sampled plants were divided into stubble (stem and leaves) and grain hulls, ground, sieved with 1 mm mesh. and mineralized; in the extract was determined Cd and P. In the soil pH was measured with a ratio soil: water 1:2.5, cadmium extracted by DTPA interchangeable. The method of fractionation of phosphorus in the soil used was developed by Tiessen and Moir, (1993). The determination of Cd and ground tissue was performed by ICP. By splitting P was determined that in 26 soils predominate inorganic forms over 80% of the total P present. In 35 of the 43 tested soils showed that soluble and labile P was less than 10% and P adsorbed was less than 35% in soil 21. In 32 soils was found that more than half of the total P is in no way available soil. Inorganic and organic fractions of soil P were not correlated with Cd in the soil or in the years of fertilization. The inorganic fraction of P extracted with bicarbonate correlated with P in the plant. The P in the rice plant was significantly correlated (p ≤ 0.05) with the P available methods Bray I and Mehlich III, but not found a linear relationship between them. All available Cd values found in soils are below the critical value of 0.8 mg.kg -1 (Environmental Handbook of the European Community, 1995). The Cd content in tissue presented the following order: Cd grain > Cd husks > Cd stubble. No significant correlation was found (p ≤ 0.05) between the Cd in plant, Cd in rice grain and soil exchangeable Cd. In none of the samples was found rice grain Cd content higher than the maximum permissible limit of 0.4 mg.kg -1 (FAO / WHO 2007). The information obtained shows that continuous fertilization with phosphates, for periods between 5 and 50 years has not had a significant impact on the levels of Cd in the rice plant. |
