| Abstract | In the course of the archaeological dig carried out in the north of the municipal district of Ciempozuelos (Province of Madrid) in 2002 and 2003 two sites were documented: one from the chalcolithic period named Buzanca 1, and another large settlement from the high mediaeval-Visigoth time period named Buzanca 2. Also, in the northern sector of the project, remains of the Republican defensive system of Ciempozuelos were identified. Here trenches and firing positions were documented, in addition to graves associated with the battle zone known as the Jarama Front of the Spanish Civil War. From these graves were recovered human remains belonging to three people whose identities it is impossible to specify. |
